GREY MORAY's second EP Redeemers picks up where their first one, Savages left off. It completes the twisted epos of heroes and villains by portraying the other side of the coin.
Whereas Savages set out to unveil the hidden agendas, two-faced values, and skewed morals of our revered rolemodels and leaders, Redeemers means to submit another point of view. Depicting the motives of traditional Boogeymen like terrorists, drug addicts, draft dodgers, and critics of the establishment it speaks for the ones whose voices are usually discredited or silenced. Because those are the evil ones. They fight for a different cause, live by different principles and that is wrong. Redeemers, in combination with Savages, is about expanding your own field of view, assuming new vantage points, broadening your horizon, and breaking with outdated black-and-white doctrines.
In keeping with the theme, Redeemers was deliberately recorded entirely DIY, guerilla style. While Savages was produced inside the richly adorned walls of a fancy high-end studio, the raw aesthesis and single vocal tracks of Redeemers were recorded inside the dank rehearsal room. The honorable Budda Guedes of Mobydick Records Studio (Braga, Portugal) flew in to make this vision a reality and the result is an honest, brutal, no-compromise second half to the Savages-Redeemers concept. A truly worthy adversary to finish the tale of good and evil and the pervasive distortion of which is which.
